The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is transitioning to a new customer and member relationship management system early next year, as part of its commitment to improving the way it delivers value for members and learners.

Initially, there will be minimal changes in the way people engage with the CII and PFS through their dashboard (MyCII/MyPFS). But in the longer term, the transition will enable the institute to offer more streamlined, tailored communications and relevant CPD programmes and events to help members achieve their personal career goals.

The transition will take a maximum of two weeks and will take from Wednesday 8 March to Sunday 19 March 2023 inclusive. During this period, users may experience some intermittent service disruptions when accessing MyCII/MyPFS, which will affect the following:

Membership services:

  • Applying for or renewing Statements of Professional Standing (SPS).

  • Purchasing products including membership renewals.

  • Accessing membership services including your membership card.

  • Accessing FutureMe, connect (mentoring platform) and Perks.

  • Booking, cancelling PFS events and accessing CPD certificates.

Learning services:

  • Booking, changing, or cancelling any exam – this includes both multiple-choice question (MCQ) and written exams.

  • Accessing your exam results, coursework marks, learning statements and certificates.

  • Submitting coursework assignments.

  • Access to RevisionMate (learning materials).

  • Purchasing learning product.s

During the transition period, no MCQ exams either online or at a centre will take place. To avoid any confusion, the transition dates where exams will not take place have already been removed from the exam booking system.

Should I take any action now?

Learners who are likely to be impacted during the transition will receive a further communication later this year advising them of the next steps. A dedicated maintenance webpage will also be kept up to date. There is no need to take any further action, however we recommend  that you:

  • Consider booking any MCQ exams sooner as some dates will be blocked out.

  • Submit any coursework assignments in good time – however, don’t worry if your submission date falls within the transition time as we will work with you to extend your enrolment, if necessary.

  • Submit your SPS renewals in good time, such as during the first week of your renewal month.

  • Please ensure your contact information is up to date.

To ensure we hold your up-to-date contact information so you will receive important updates, please check your contact details here and make any necessary changes, including:

  • Daytime and mobile phone numbers and preferred name.

  • Email address.

  • Home/office address and address preferences.

If you have any questions in relation to this communication, please email: systemaccess@cii.co.uk
