Launching in November, the PFS and ITN Productions Industry News will be co-creators of a news-style programme, exploring the importance of competent financial planning in a pandemic-informed world.

The pandemic impacted people’s finances in different ways with lockdowns and closures, reduced hours and lost jobs, while some benefited from reduced spending. Covid-19 undoubtedly highlighted the need to prepare financially for unpredictable market conditions.

The programme, titled Building Financial Resilience will raise awareness and understanding of the importance of financial planning for a more secure future post-pandemic.

The programme will demystify personal finance and will cover key topics such as the benefits of financial education, responsible financial management for greater consumer outcomes, rebuilding savings, insightful planning, protection, later-life planning, improving outcomes for the most vulnerable and how to appeal to the younger generation.

The programme will premiere in November 2021 and will combine key sector interviews, informative news items and sponsored editorial profiles from leading organisations. The programme will form part of an extensive communications campaign featuring PFS members and professional partners.

For more information or to participate in the programme, please contact James Linden, programming director, industry news at ITN Productions: james.linden@itn.co.uk
