The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has appointed three new engagement board member roles this year to represent the voice of the membership during board discussions and decision-making.

To ensure the professional body is representative of its wide and diverse membership, the engagement board members will work collaboratively at board level to influence and drive the strategic direction of the CII.

Each appointment represents a different sector of the CII’s membership. Debbie Mitchell, director of Atholl Scott Financial Services, has been appointed to represent the financial planning sector; Pauline Azzopardi, financial services consultant, will represent the voice of international members; and Artur Niemczewski, former CEO at Pro Global Holdings, will represent the London market and global specialty sector.

A fourth engagement board member will be appointed in 2021.

The CII board is responsible for leading and developing the strategic direction of the CII as a professional body and promoting the CII’s aim to secure and justify the confidence of the public.
